Join us for a free presentation on the prairie-obligate regal fritillary butterfly at 2:00 p.m. in the Community Room at the Boone Electric Cooperative building at 1413 Rangeline, Columbia, MO.  Missouri Department of Conservation Natural History Biologist Chris Newbold and MPF Director of Prairie Management Jerod Heubner will present about their work to survey this beautiful insect—a Missouri species of conservation concern that depends on original prairie for its survival. Chris and Jerod will also share information about their efforts to gather seed and propagate the regal’s prairie violet host plants. Registration is now full. If you would like to be added to the wait list, please call 888-843-6739.
