Eat, Drink, And Grow Native!

Join New American Gardening, Sierra Club, and Grow Native! for an evening at the Pollinator Plot. Enjoy light appetizers and a cash bar as you stroll the grounds of the Granite City Art and Design District (GCADD), featuring a public demonstration garden with green infrastructure, pollinator and native plant components. Tour the native plant greenhouse on site and meet with local Artist and Landscape Designer Chris Carl who serves as GCADD's resident gardener. Experience the amazing design features showcased on site. Plan to linger and attend GCADD's Exhibition #16 at 7:00 p.m.

Christopher Carl

Christopher Carl is is an Artist and Landscape Designer. He received a Master’s of Landscape Architecture from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign where he explored the relationship between public art and environmental stewardship. His most recent work, New American Gardening, is a collaboration with the Granite City Art and Design District (G-CADD), which is a consortium of indoor and outdoor creative spaces seeking to revitalize a distressed city block through art and ecology.
