Seeking Award Nominations for MPF, Grow Native!, and Invasive Plant Action Awards
The Missouri Prairie Foundation (MPF) Awards Committee is now accepting nominations for awards to recognize individuals who have made outstanding contributions for the cause of prairies and prairie flora and fauna. There are five award categories: Prairie Communicator ofthe Year, Prairie Landowner of the Year, Prairie Volunteer of the Year, Prairie Professional of the Year, and Prairie Pioneer. Awards will be announced and presented at the Missouri Prairie Foundation’s Annual Dinner in August.
MPF Is also accepting nominations for two Grow Native! Awards:
- The Grow Native! Native Plant Pioneer Award, which identifies and honors individuals whose work was foundational to the native landscaping movement anywhere in the lower Midwest (Missouri, eastern Kansas, northern Arkansas, southern Illinois). Nominations for this award must be received by June 15 of each year. This award will be announced and presented at the Missouri Prairie Foundation’s Annual Dinner in August.
- The Grow Native! Ambassador Award recognizes an individual who has made outstanding contributions to the advancement of the use and promotion of native plants and native plant landscaping in the year the award is presented. Nominations for this award must be received by October 1 of each year. This award will be announced and presented at the Grow Native! Professional Member Conference in November.

The Missouri Invasive Plant Task Force is accepting nominations for the MoIP Invasive Plant Action Awards. Individuals or groups who perform outstanding work related to controlling invasive plant species on property in Missouri can be nominated here. Nominations are due July 1.
