The Capitol Plaza Hotel is offering a special room rate for Missouri Prairie Foundation guests the night of August 8: standard room (1 king or 2 double beds) is $89 plus taxes. Call 573-635-1234 to make a reservation.

MPF's 2020 Annual Dinner & Silent Auction. Join us August 8, 2020!

Join us for this special evening in Jefferson City at the Capitol Plaza Hotel. Shop for outdoor equipment, artwork, and outdoor experiences; enjoy a meal with fellow prairie supporters; and learn from our guest speaker, Dr. Tyler Lark from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Annual Dinner & Silent Auction Schedule:

Silent Auction, Social Hour & Drinks

Beverages include Missouri wines donated by St. James Winery, beer, and soft drinks.

Two complimentary tickets for lifetime members; current patrons receive complimentary tickets commensurate with patron level (see forthcoming personal invitations in postal mail)

Price includes two drink tickets. Space is limited so register today! Your payment serves as your dinner ticket. Your contribution to this benefit, less $38 per person, is fully tax-deductible.

All entrées served with Plaza house salad, dessert, rolls, coffee, tea and water. All entrées gluten free except for pasta and rolls. The following options are available:

  • Option 1: Sliced Roast Beef from Missouri Legacy Beef with demi glaze, Boursin Mashed Potatoes, and roasted vegetables
  • Option 2: Vegetarian Pasta Primavera with tossed with vegetables, pesto, garlic, olive oil, and topped with parmesan cheese
  • Option 3: Vegan Portobello Mushroom with pico de gallo, served with black beans & fire-roasted corn

MPF members Lorna and Henry Domke offer Annual Dinner guests a walking tour of the Prairie Garden Trust near New Bloomfield, MO on Saturday, Aug. 10 from 1:30 to 3:00 p.m. The Prairie Garden Trust (PGT) is a public nature garden about 16 miles north of Jefferson City, featuring prairie plantings, native woods, ponds and streams. Each tour is limited to 25 guests. Dress for a summer walk on paved and mowed paths. Learn more about the PGT at www.prairiegardentrust.org.
