National Teaming With Wildlife Coalition Exceeds Goal
The goal was to have a minimum of 100 members of the US Congress sign on, to signal their support for this federal grant program that brings approximately $900,000 to Missouri each year to support habitat conservation work. The program has been cut by 35% since 2010, which is impacting Missouri and the other states’ ability to conserve at-risk species. These cuts are coming at a time when the program is yielding impressive results.  Congressmen William Lacy Clay (MO-01), Emanuel Clearer (MO-05) and Sam Graves (MO-06) each signed on to the letter this year.  If you live in their districts, please consider thanking them for supporting conservation! A similar letter will be released in the Senate in the coming days.
